  1. Open source the project

I think such a project should be opened source, perhaps with the support/help from Microsoft.

  4. Add VBA projects

I think the ability to create a VBA project for Word, Excel, Access (the only difference would be the IntelliSense support for the predefined "ActiveDocument", "CurrentDb", etc) would be neat. Of course we would then need to copy and paste the code into the VBA IDE but, for me, it would still be less painful then writing the whole damn thing in the default IDE.

I use a lot of third party tools in my VB6 projects. will things like that be supported.

  8. provide changelog and issue tracker separate from uservoice

Your current distribution method does not let us know what has changed between releases. Also I do not see an effective way to communicate with you regarding issues. I have an issue with the Build process and do not think a feature request is the best venue.

  10. Default object type event methods

For default objects, like a form, add the standard event methods to appear in the drop down list, like FormLoad, FormUnload, Form_Resize etc. At the moment the only ones that appear are the ones already added.

  11. I hate to sound greedy but...

Honestly, I run the VB6 IDE on Windows 7 (64bit) and it runs just fine unless you're subclassing (but it never worked well for subclassing). This concept of editing VB6 in the same IDE you write your .NET is cool, but what I'd really like to see is the VB6 VM re-written as a .NET library, or a compiler added to .NET for VB6 or they could just open source the thing, and the community would do it for them, after all what's the big secret... the code for it is over 20 years old.

The threading model is applicable to DLL projects only; a dialog will be added allowing to set the desired threading model (which will either be apartment-threaded, or single-threaded; the former will be the default value, but the dialog will reflect the current project setting, of course).

  16. Vertical Scolling in Code Editor window with mouse or arrow keys does not work on Extended HDMI Monitor

    Hi,
I initially reported this issue as a Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2019 issue, but changed it to here as problem only occurs after installing Visual Basic Tools for Visual Studio 2019 (version 1.8.4).

Scrolling works fine in Solution Explorer Folder and Properties Windows.

It does not work in the main Code Editor window on the Extended Display.

All other Microsoft Products like Office and Browsers and all 3rd Party software vertical and horizontal scrolling works fine when using the sofware on the attached HDMI monitor.

I am using latest version of Windows 10 (Professional), on a new Microsoft Surface…

  17. Async load of the extension

The extension loads synchronously. It should load asynchrously as per Microsoft guidelines.
In VS 16.8.2 it's triggers a warning, and won't load unless I authorize the synchronous load of extensions...

  18. Easily accessible list of what currently works and what does not

    Hi,

today I tried your plugin. First of all: Thank you for your work.

First I installed the one for VS2019. There, after enabling the synchronous plugin loading I converted a VB6 project. However, after the conversion, when I opened a file, the screen got blank.
So after that I installed the plugin for VS2015 and converted 3 projects. There I could see the code when clicking a file and syntax highlighting works.
However building the project does not work.

Thus I now wonder: what should work and what shouldn't and where do I find such a list?
    It would…
