VB6 Form Designer
I think that this is possible because Xamarin has made its own Android forms designer for Visual Studio. So why we don't do it for VB6? ;)

The VB6 IDE can be used on newer platforms, like Windows 7 and Windows 8… some of the toolset components (like the parser and project system) require .NET Framework 4.5. It doesn´t seem to be worth the effort to downgrade some portions of the code to just support a Visual Studio version also having a shrinking number of users…

change name "VB6 tools for VS.net"
change name "VB6 tools for VS.net"
25 votesOf course, you contributors made a good point saying that “VB6” should be part of the tool´s name to clearly distinguish between the classic Visual Basic and the new Visual Basic (that targets .NET). Anyway, I do decline the suggestion because the tool is compatible with Visual Studio (VS.net is an accepted but unofficial term to name the successor of Visual Studio 6 – and that is just wrong). The toolset lives in the Visual Studio ecosystem (as it is today), that´s why the name remains unchanged.

Support ActiveX DLL builds or make it clear ActiveX DLL projects aren't supported.
Right now if you try building an activex dll nothing gets generated and the compiler error message "Could not copy the file "obj\Debug\XXXX.exe" because it was not found." Obviously because nothing is generated.

Make a new version of Visual Basic 6.0, a Visual Basic 6.X
Introduction
Released on the market in mid 1998, Visual Basic 6.0 (abbreviated VB6) has been and it still is the most successful version in the history of Visual Basic. The VB6 compiler has been designed to satisfy the slow processors of the late 90’s (800MHz – 1300MHz). Fortunately, compilers do not get old (ie. ADA – an "old" compiler underlying F22's raptor on board equipment, or Fortran and COBOL - which are widely used)1-3 . This throws us into an older conclusion, namely if it is new it is not necessary better.
Nevertheless, at the time, VB6 designers were true…

what about the designer forme? Is supported?
what about the designer form? Is supported?
13 votesA form designer is definitely out of scope. My intention is not to create a fully-featured replacement for the VB6 IDE, but give people who need to maintain VB6 code the ability to use a modern development environment.

Fix Object browser mess words
After opening an aged VB6 project, we found some constants values with Chinese displayed as mess words.
Private Const XX_APPNAME = "ÉÏÊй«Ë¾»á¼ÆÐÅÏ¢Åû..."
Actually these words should be Chinese.
Private Const XX_APPNAME = "上市公司会计信息..."
I think it's possible a bug in VBVS.

Not to minimize this terrific development...
Hi,
I didn't know what to expect but (and unless I am missing something -- which is HIGHLY likely) I'm not sure I understand the intention.
I have VB6 projects that I can now 'open' in VS2015... but I do not get the WYSIWYG form UI, and had to 'connect' my VB6 compiler to your utility to get a BUILD going.
So, help me to understand that if I need VB6 installed to get the project to compile under VS2015 BUT I don't have the FORM UI of the VB6 IDE, how does your tool help me maintain these older…
